Hokey Pokey!

We were a little worried that Mae would turn into a Tom-Boy because of all of her cousins being boys (except 1 now), and all of the kids in her nursery are boys. But, she has definitely proven her femininity. Her newest phase is the "I want chocolate phase!" She will go around saying this at the top of her lungs (like mother like daughter). She also likes wrapping dolls in blankets and bobbing up and down on her heals while patting them on the back. Below are some improviso moments of our Mae. She also likes to put on hats and her mom's shoes and walk around the house like a princess.

We had the best time tonight with our spunky Mae. It started out when she said, pointing to her tummy, "blocks! blocks" as we were changing her diaper. We pulled up her onesie to find that she'd hidden 10 ABC magnets that had been in there for who knows how long! Then, we started to sing her the Hokey Pokey, and to our amazement, this is what happened. They must have taught her the dance at daycare.

This is Mae in the sink at Kate's classroom today. While Kate was hard at work, Mae pushed the chair over to climb up into the sink, and then sat in there and turned the water on full blast.

So so cute! Love the dance, the dressups, and, of course, the overwhelming need for chocolate- it's completely healthy though, so there's nothing to worry about. ;)
